If you've owned Great Danes before, you know they're both gentle giants and big ole puppies, if this is your first Dane, you will soon find out! Our two are the largest lap dogs, and don't even get me started on how much attention the need if it rains!

You have been provided with three days' worth of food. We use Kirkland puppy and substitute about a half of a cup of cottage cheese a day to help with calcium and protein. If you wish to change their food, just make sure the protein content is somewhere around 25%, or just ask your vet what they suggest!

I do not free feed until potty training is where I want it to be, I currently feed them at 7am, 11am and 4pm. This way I can gauge when they will need to use the restroom. Thanos and Pepper both have endless food now, they were switched from a schedule to free feed at 6 months old.

Caring for a Great Dane puppy requires patience and dedication. Ensure they have a balanced diet appropriate for their size and age, along with regular vet check-ups. We take Thanos and Pepper for semi-annual check-ups just to make sure everything is going smoothly. Socialization is key, so expose them to different environments and people early on. Lastly, provide ample exercise to keep them healthy and happy but be mindful of their growing joints.
