Idaho Pasture Pigs

The Idaho Pasture Pig is unique breed known for its hardiness and adaptability to pasture farming. Originating from a mix of heritage breeds, these pigs are prized for their excellent meat quality, which is flavorful and well-marbled. â€‹â€‹

Why did we choose the Idaho Pasture Pig?

The Idaho pasture pig is a newly recognized breed, developed in 2012. Developed to graze in pastures instead of rutting around, it is a mixture of Duroc, Kune-kune, and Berkshire pig.

Being a grazing pig, these pigs graze for 90% of their food, the other 10% comes from a local grain facility. This was important to us for two reasons: pasture raised animals produce much healthier meat and they will be able to live with the cows.

We will be getting 9 pigs in late September; this section will expand exponentially when we get them in!
